The first target of this course is to analyse the history of a consumer product, in this case an electric guitar. In chapter 2, a historical overview will be combined with the product phases theory which can help a designer in creating the next generation of a product (Eger 2007). In chapter 3 an industrial design evaluation analysis is performed of the Motion ST 250 SB electric guitar. For this analysis the electric guitar is completely disassembled and analyzed on the technical functionality, the materials, the production processes, the production costs and the assembly.
