Much of the classical guitar’s twentieth-century repertoire contain sections that emphasize fingering patterns along the fretboard, which may not be clearly represented in the notation due to the topology of the guitar. This paper presents a transformational system that shows fingershape patterns in such sections. The resulting transformational networks are modeled after Klumpenhouwer networks, although with significant methodological differences. This paper will focus on popular classical guitar pieces by Heitor Villa-Lobos and Elliott Carter
