The paper describes the results of a research activity, still under development, oriented to the vibratory and acoustic characterization of harp-guitars. Vibration analyses show interesting differences between harp-guitars and classical guitars about displacements detected on the soundboard and on the bridge and their dependence to frequencies. Acoustic analyses detect very different responses of harp-guitars to various frequencies, showing also the different acoustic emission at sound holes. Comparisons between signals detected by external and surface internal microphones allow estimating effects of the acoustic damping in these particular instruments.
